Amber Laura Heard was born April 22, 1986. She was born and raised in Austin, Texas by father David, a contractor, and mother Paige, an Internet researcher for the state. As a child, Amber loved to go hunting, fishing and camping with her father. She attended St. Michael's Catholic Academy but has said that she felt trapped at school and didn't relate to her contemporaries: "I didn't feel one bit of remorse for missing prom; let's just put it that way." However, Amber embraced her school's drama department as a teenager and appeared in local commercials and campaigns. "When I read about the Greek stage, and how magnificent it was, it changed my life," says Heard. "Eventually, drama became the only class I would actually show up to."

Amanda Righetti was born on April 4, 1983 in St. George, Utah. She grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is the youngest of eight children. One of her sisters is now a dealer in a Vegas casino dealer. She had a lot of unforgettable experiences during her growing up years in Sin City, one of them with her being mistaken for a hooker while she was taking a walk down Vegas. Amanda Righetti was a cheerful and outgoing child, and considers herself as one of the boys whenever she was with her friends. When she approached her teenage years, Amanda Righetti became the ultimate party girl and had rather overly dramatic relationships with her boyfriends.

In order to explore the heights of the entertainment industry, Amanda Righetti moved from Vegas to Los Angeles in the pursuit of an acting career. Her first acting stint however, was in 2001 in the successful investigative drama, CSI, which was set in Las Vegas. This was followed by a supporting role in the 2002 film Angel Blade. From then on, Amanda Righettu was cast in the starring role in the pilot of FOX's No Place Like Home. Because of her astounding performance in the said episode, the network producers asked for her again in what would be her most successful role to date, to be Haley Nichol in the TV hit, The O.C. Fans swooned over Amanda Righetti as she stood to be Caleb Nichol's stubborn, rebellious daughter. She stayed on the show for its first season, but unfortunately she had to leave during the second season to make way for more success. Her acting prowess that matched her beauty and quirkiness convinced FOX executives once more and gave her yet another stint in another series, North Shore, replacing fellow actress Navi Rawat as Tessa Lewis.

The production costs of North Shore seemed to have troubled the network, thus the series' episodes had to be cut back during the last months of 2004. Rumors have spread about the show's near cancellation, and Amanda Righetti soon found herself back in the shoes of Haley Nichol in an episode of The O.C. in November 2004.Amanda Righetti's most recent work is her supporting role in the TV movie Romy and Michelle: In the Beginning, in 2005. In the same year, she starred in the short suspense drama, Reunion. In 2006, Amanda Righetti took on the lead role in the horror film Return to House on Haunted Hill Amanda Righetti appeared on the November 2005 issue of FHM. Engaged to film director Jordan Alan, she remains to reside in Los Angeles, but spends most of her time in Hawaii as well.
